Game of Thrones Season 2, Episode 9 Sea2Epi9 S2E9 S02E09 S2xE9 S02xE09 2x9

Game of Thrones explores a medieval-like fantasy world with its plethora of characters all struggling in the only game that matters -- the game of thrones. An epic battle ensues among seven kingdoms and between two ruling families for control of the Iron Throne, the possession of which ensures survival through the 40-year winter to come.

Episode Name: Blackwater

Summary:
The Lannisters' control of King's Landing is in peril when Stannis' fleet launches an all-out assault.

“Blackwater” is Game of Thrones’ penultimate episode of the second season and airs this Sunday on HBO, and for readers it’s also the experience of the television journey through George R. R. Martin’s novel, A Clash of Kings. It’s also the episode of this season that’s written by Martin himself. Not only did Martin pen the episode, but the director is Neil Marshall, who was behind the amazing horror film The Descent. Earlier in the week HBO released clips, images, and even a poster (which is not something I recall as being the norm) for the episode. On the surface, “Blackwater” feels rather eventy in a manner usually reserved for season finales.

The first clip below is a bit of an overview of the War of the Five Kings, so it begins with events that I’m assuming viewers had to have already seen, while the second is a teaser of “Blackwater” itself.
